Ahsanullah University of science and technology dormitory building at Tejgaon, DhakaNurturing Knowledge in the Urban Fabric

Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) is a prominent private educational institution situated in the dense urban context of Dhaka. The campus is designed to accommodate academic excellence while responding to the constraints and opportunities of a rapidly growing city. The academic buildings are organized to promote a functional yet human-centric learning environment. Classrooms, laboratories, and studios are planned with an emphasis on natural ventilation and daylight, reducing dependency on artificial lighting during significant parts of the day. Operable windows and internal courtyards enhance cross-ventilation and thermal comfort within learning spaces

Circulation zones, including corridors and staircases, are treated as interactive spaces that encourage movement and informal student engagement. Vertical circulation connects different academic levels efficiently, while ensuring clear zoning between teaching, administrative, and student activity areas. The campus incorporates shaded outdoor areas and landscape elements that provide relief from the urban heat and create social gathering spaces for students and faculty.
